Tag Days

“Tag Days” are a fundraising event and occur twice in the training year with a Fall and Spring campaign.  Supervised cadets in uniform stand outside local business, who have given permission, holding a can requesting donations from the general public. This is one of the key fundraisers and the Squadron Sponsoring Committee's (SSC) largest sources of funds typically raising thousands of dollars. This helps fund many areas not supported financially by the military side, such as funding for the facility, extra curricular activities, insurance, equipment, administration costs, etc.

Cadets are highly encouraged to participate in this fundraiser.  Not only is a successful event financially, it is also great opportunity for Cadets to interact with the public and answer any questions that are posed regarding the program. They should be considered as ambassadors for the squadron raising awareness of the program and fostering interest for new recruits.

We need YOUR help!

Screened volunteers are invited to help out in this exciting event. In order to make this event successful we require drivers to get cadets to and from the locations, as well as supervising the cadets during their shift. Volunteers are also much appreciated in helping provide and serve snacks, as well as count money. It's a great opportunity for parents to meet other parents and get to know the squadron more.

Volunteer drivers are required have the following:

  • Be a screened member and have your Membership ID  with you.  Click here to find out more about the screening process and application.

  • Have a Driver's License and Car Insurance papers with you.
